Men in Nizhny Novgorod Kill Pregnant Woman, Set Her Apartment on Fire

Two men have been arrested in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, in connection with the murder of a pregnant woman and the subsequent burning of her apartment.

On Saturday, emergency service workers discovered the woman's body, showing signs of violence, after extinguishing a fire in an apartment on Arkhangelskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod. According to RIA Novosti, the suspects are two acquaintances of the victim, aged 19 and 27, who have been apprehended on suspicion of the murder.

Preliminary reports indicate that the suspects, who were not sober, were at the victim's home on the morning of November 2. After a confrontation with the woman, the men inflicted multiple stab wounds, stole her jewelry, set the apartment on fire, and fled the scene. It is noteworthy that both men were aware of the woman's pregnancy.
