Fire Erupts in Border Village of Chinari: Firefighters and Soldiers Engage in Firefighting Efforts
On October 30, at 13:30, a call was received by the "911" service reporting that an area near the village of Chinari in the Tavush Province, specifically in a region known as "Kolagir," was on fire, with grasslands ablaze.
Emergency responders from the regional fire and rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and one combat unit from the collective center of civil defense forces for special facilities in the Tavush area dispatched to the scene.
A total of 25 rescue workers and 49 military personnel participated in the firefighting efforts. Approximately 8 hectares of dry leaves, wooden remains, and grassland are burning.
Due to darkness and the inaccessibility of the terrain, firefighting operations were halted at 18:46. Employees from the "Hayantar" State Non-Commercial Organization's "Ijevan Forest Economy" branch have been assigned to monitor the situation.
Further information will be provided.
