Government Allocates More Funds for Gyumri Customs Terminal Construction
The government has once again allocated funds for the construction of the Gyumri customs terminal during today's meeting. According to the executive's decision, 451 million drams were allocated to the State Revenue Committee for the construction works.
It is noteworthy that the construction work will be carried out by ‘Mrezhmoskovyan’ LLC, which was chosen based on a single-source procurement principle. The father of a member of Gyumri's council owns the company that is building the customs terminal.
According to the State Revenue Committee, by October 2, the government has already allocated 2 billion 117 million drams for the construction of the customs terminal.
Additionally, following a visit to the New Gavarit subdivision of the Ararat customs office in April, the Prime Minister instructed to conduct studies on relocating the vehicle customs clearance process to the city of Gyumri.
Preliminary estimates suggest that approximately 2.5 to 2.7 billion drams will be necessary for the construction of the Gyumri customs terminal and the development of related infrastructure.
