New Revelation: Over 27 Million Drams Embezzled

According to information received by the National Security Service of Armenia, the director of the Chambarak forestry of the State Non-Commercial Organization "Hayantar" has committed violations.

The police report that materials prepared by the department for combating corruption and economic activity crimes in the Main Department have revealed the following. According to preliminary data, from 2005 to 2019, the forestry director appointed his associates to various positions, yet they did not actually show up for work. Meanwhile, salaries amounting to more than 27 million 170 thousand drams, according to the current investigative data, were drawn and embezzled in their names.

A criminal case has been initiated by the police based on the prepared materials and has been sent to the Investigative Committee for further investigation. Circumstances are being clarified.
