Iran's President to Visit Yerevan on October 1, Says Pashinyan
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, is expected to visit Yerevan on October 1. This was announced by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a press conference in response to a journalist's question.
“You know what geopolitical context is forming around Iran. The realization of these agreements is somewhat linked to the geopolitical situation surrounding Iran, because specific sanctions are in place that create certain obstacles. I visited Iran in February, and during this period, there have been several mutual visits, and we are working towards implementing our agreements,” Pashinyan stated, adding that some agreements have been realized and others are at the stage of implementation. “It is very important to ensure that these are realized while maintaining a high level of relations between our countries, and that our relations with other countries are not jeopardized,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
It is worth noting that Pashinyan made an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran in February, during which he and Rouhani reached a number of agreements, including those related to the economic sector.
