Edmon Marukyan to Visit Government to Review Secret Document

The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the "Enlightened Armenia" faction in the National Assembly, is preparing to visit the government to familiarize himself with a highly classified document prepared in 2014. This was announced by Marukyan in an interview with "Zhoghovurd" newspaper, in reference to remarks made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a Facebook live stream on August 4.

Following the Prime Minister's announcement, on August 5, Marukyan sent a letter to Prime Minister Pashinyan requesting a copy of the secret report. After lengthy discussions in the Prime Minister's office, it has been decided to invite Marukyan to the government to review it in person.

"I need to go to understand what document is being discussed. The document is highly classified; if such a document exists, I will speak about it. I believe that if they have invited me, it means there is such a document," Edmon Marukyan noted in his conversation with "Zhoghovurd" newspaper.
