“Perhaps from the Distance of Years, We Will Understand How We Trusted the Country’s Leadership to Deserting Cowards” - Lusine Haroyan
When this Sodom and Gomorrah passes, and from the distance of years we will be able to assess the situation of this period soberly, we might understand how we allowed a provincial journalist to squander our nationwide beautiful awakening. This was stated by Lusine Haroyan, co-chair of the 'Pan-Armenian National Accord', on her Facebook page.
She particularly noted: “How we were collectively deceived and failed to notice the obvious signals about a dirty transaction, how we entrusted the country’s leadership to deserting cowards from the army and to inept relatives and drunken sons of those in power, we might understand the phenomenon of how we could see the good in exhibitions without criticizing the 'leader' of the country while eating and grilling on Mashtots Avenue, how we could collectively rip each other’s throats under the posts of some semi-literate individual on Facebook, inciting a genuine internet civil war. Perhaps we will understand our nationwide phenomenon of blindness and deafness.”
