‘Pashinyan is happy with Ashotik, I also wanted to be happy with my Arthur’: mother of a fallen soldier
A protest is being held in front of the government by parents of soldiers who died in the army during peacetime. The mothers expressed that they had high hopes for the new authorities to finally uncover the cases of their sons, yet to this day there has been no progress.
They demand a meeting with Prime Minister Pashinyan. 'Something must change in this army, we are not holding our children hostage,' said Valerik Muradyan’s mother, whose son fell in the military. The parents of soldiers are insisting on the clarification of cases and punishment for the guilty, which would prevent such incidents in the future.
Another parent participating in the protest stated, ‘If today Pashinyan is happy with Ashotik, I also wanted to be happy with my Arthur, my son was the first.’ The parents emphasize that when sending their children to the army, they must be confident that they will return safe and sound.
