Incident Between Police and Protesters as Gates of National Assembly Closed in Front of Amulsar Activists
An incident occurred in front of the National Assembly, where police officers closed the gates in front of the public.
At the same time, two protests were taking place in front of the National Assembly: one against the signature collection for the Istanbul Convention and one by citizens protesting against the exploitation of the Amulsar mine.
Environmental activists attempted to hold a discussion in the courtyard of the National Assembly; however, the police closed the gates to the Assembly.
