Extraordinary Incident: Valuable Items Worth 8 Million Drams Stolen from Russian Citizen's Suitcase
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, on August 12, a citizen of the Russian Federation, A. Bagratunyan, applied to the RA Prosecutor General's Office and reported that on April 29 of this year, he traveled on flight number 226 from Yerevan to Rostov, where he noticed that an unknown person or persons had stolen valuable items equivalent to approximately 8 million drams from his suitcase under unknown circumstances and in an undisclosed location.
Photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports that the Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case based on Article 177, Part 3, Clause 1 of the RA Criminal Code.
As per G. Shamshyan's information, A. Bagratunyan submitted his complaint to the RA Prosecutor General's Office via email.
Note: A person suspected or accused of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedure established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, by a legally binding court judgment.
