Ministry of Foreign Affairs Comments on Reduction of Armenians at Sochi Airport
Anna Naghdalyan, the spokesperson for the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, commented on the reports of mass layoffs of Armenian employees at Sochi Airport in an interview with PanARMENIAN.Net. She stated that the Armenian Embassy in the Russian Federation has contacted the airport to verify the accuracy of these reports.
"The ministry is aware of the media publications. The Armenian embassy has reached out to all involved parties to clarify the situation," Naghdalyan indicated.
Earlier, media reports had emerged stating that the management of Sochi Airport had laid off 70 Armenian employees and planned to lay off another 100 Armenian staff members.
