Beware of Waterborne Diseases in Leisure Areas
The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention warns about waterborne diseases in recreational and leisure areas.
People often use open water bodies (rivers, lakes), swimming pools, including sauna pools, for swimming during their leisure time. These waters may contain pathogenic bacteria, and swimming pools also carry the risk of exposure to chemical substances used for disinfection.
