The Murder of 'Masivtsi Andik' Was Ordered; There Is a Client, Says Osipyan
The Chief of Police of Armenia, Valeri Osipyan, disagrees with the notion that the police, although periodically detaining 'thieves in law', does not control the situation, given that a thief in law was murdered in Armenia, yet no clarification has been made.
“It is unacceptable to state that the police do not control the situation. The police fully control the situation; such cases have existed at all times and during all police chiefs and governments. Crime is a phenomenon that cannot completely disappear from society and our daily lives,” Osipyan noted during a meeting with journalists on July 24.
Regarding the specific murder of Andranik Harutyunyan, known by the nickname 'Masivtsi Andik', Osipyan stated, “Allow me not to open the brackets, but we will present to the public all our successes related to this case that we will have. We have control over the situation. The police are silent based on the situation. That murder was ordered. We have the executor and the client. That’s all. The rest will be presented,” emphasized Osipyan.
