Cars Collide on the Road to Bjni: One Injured in Serious Condition

On July 18, at 23:39, the '911' service received a call about a road accident on the highway leading to the village of Bjni in the Kotayk region, where a citizen was trapped in a car, requiring the assistance of rescuers.

A fire-rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations dispatched one combat unit along with an operational group to the scene.

It was determined that a collision occurred between a Lada Kalina (driver: M.G., born in 1979) and a Volkswagen Vento (driver: S.H., born in 1965) at the 3rd kilometer of the Arzakian-Bjni section of the H-5 highway. As a result, the driver of the Lada Kalina was trapped in the vehicle.

Before the rescuers arrived, bystanders managed to extricate the drivers from their cars, and they were hospitalized at the Charentsavan Medical Center, and later transferred to the Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center in Yerevan.

Doctors assessed M.G.'s condition as serious, while S.H.'s condition was considered moderate.

The rescuers disconnected the vehicles from the power supply, closed the gas cylinder valves, secured the area, moved the cars closer to the tow truck, and conducted road cleaning operations.
