The PPDS Base is a Special Protected Area and Therefore Always Closed to Citizens, Aharonyan
The Police PPDS base is a special protected area and is therefore always closed to citizens, said Ashot Aharonyan, head of the Police Department of Information and Public Relations, in an interview with Aysor.am.
Earlier, the head of the 'Adequate' NGO, Arthur Danielyan, stated that the police had decided not to allow citizens to lay flowers at the memorial plaque commemorating the police officers who lost their lives during the takeover of the PPDS base three years ago.
We also inquired whether memorial ceremonies were planned at the PPDS base today or perhaps had already taken place early in the morning. 'Ceremonies are planned for today. You can officially find out about this on our official website. However, citizens have been going to lay flowers at the memorial plaque located outside the base for the last three years,' Ashot Aharonyan noted.
