Soldier Who Worked at Chernobyl Commits Suicide After Watching HBO Series

A soldier who worked in the Chernobyl disaster zone has committed suicide after watching the HBO series about the nuclear plant accident, according to Daily Mail.

The tragic incident occurred in the city of Aktobe, Kazakhstan. Nagashibai Zhusupov took his own life in mid-June. The deceased's daughter reported that prior to his suicide, he watched the "Chernobyl" television series, which stirred bitter memories for him.

Zhusupov was one of the first soldiers who worked near the fourth reactor block. Throughout his life, he suffered from severe headaches.
