Cows Did Not Die from Lake Sevan Water
The Armenian Food Safety Inspectorate has today published official information regarding the laboratory studies conducted to determine the cause of the deaths of animals in areas surrounding Lake Sevan.
Anush Harutyunyan, the head of the Inspectorate's press service, stated that no infections were found in the samples. It appears that the Armenian Food Safety Inspectorate is reporting that the animals did not die from the water; instead, the cause was bloating after eating grass.
“All bloated cows were saved when they were punctured; if there had been an infection, the outcome would have been different,” said Harutyunyan.
