It Was Unlawful to Charge and Apply Preventive Measures at This Stage of the Case, Says Lawyer of Toyota Driver Involved in Tragic Accident

The court has chosen detention as a preventive measure for the driver of the Toyota Hilux involved in the tragic accident in Ararat, deeming the release on bail unacceptable. This was reported by the driver's attorney, Monika Margaryan, on her Facebook page.

“It was unlawful to present any charges and apply preventive measures at all since, at this stage of the case, neither the mechanism of the collision of the vehicles, the cause of the fire, nor the technical condition of the vehicles has been clarified,” she stated.

It is worth noting that the accident occurred on July 6 at around 15:15, involving three vehicles, resulting in the deaths of six people and injuries to 13 others.
