Gunshots in the Backyard of a Wedding Hall in Masis

On July 8, at 23:15, the Masis Police Department received a report of gunfire in the backyard of one of the wedding halls in the city of Masis. This was announced by the Police Public Relations Department.

Operational group officers were dispatched to the scene. As a result of immediate measures taken, a 29-year-old man living in Yerevan was detained on suspicion of hooliganism near the wedding hall, along with a "Toyota Camry" vehicle. He presented a 12 mm caliber "MR-135" single-barreled hunting rifle to the police and stated that around 23:00 on July 8, he had taken the rifle from the trunk of his vehicle and fired 4-5 shots into the air in the backyard of the wedding hall.

The rifle has been taken for examination. Materials are being prepared on the incident.
