Charges Filed Against Manvel Grigoryan's Son

According to ArmDaily.am, charges have been filed against the son of former MP Manvel Grigoryan, former mayor of Ejmiatsin, Karen Grigoryan.

It has been revealed that Karen Grigoryan is accused of embezzling particularly large sums, with the bail measure chosen being a signature. The amount in question exceeds 30 million drams, as Grigoryan allegedly hired his father's bodyguard and many others to work in the municipality, paying them from the state budget.

Naira Harutyunyan, head of the information and public relations department of the Investigative Committee, confirmed the information in an interview with the media, stating that based on sufficient evidence, the former head of the Ejmiatsin municipal community has been charged under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia articles 38-179, part 3, clause 1 (three episodes), 38-179, part 2, clauses 1 and 3 (two episodes), as well as 38-179, part 2, clause 1 and Criminal Code article 179, part 2, clauses 1 and 3.
