Son Stabs Mother in Gyumri

In Gyumri, a son has stabbed his mother with more than 10 knife wounds, confirmed Zarzand Gabrielyan, head of the media relations department of the Armenian police, in a conversation with SHANTNEWS.am.

On June 19, the police received a call reporting that a son had attacked his mother in one of the buildings on Lukasyan Street in Gyumri. Police officers arrived at the scene, and an investigation is underway.

According to various reports, law enforcement officials searched for the victim's 50-year-old son for a long time, eventually finding and detaining him only at dawn. The woman lived with her daughter and son. On the day of the murder, the daughter was not home and discovered her mother’s body upon returning.
