Unexpected Discussion Between Pashinyan and Karapetyan
'Zhamanak' newspaper reports that National Assembly Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan made an intriguing statement regarding the meeting between Prime Minister Pashinyan and Russian-Armenian billionaire Samvel Karapetyan that took place in Yerevan on June 16.
It's safe to say that Ararat Mirzoyan's announcement was unexpected, noting that the discussions included not only economic matters but also the possibility of acquiring new infrastructure.
However, Mirzoyan did not specify which particular infrastructure was being discussed. As is known, Samvel Karapetyan already manages an infrastructure; he is the owner of the distribution networks.
Furthermore, Karapetyan became the owner as a result of the well-known 'Electric Yerevan' movement. Could it be that, one year after Armenia's Velvet Revolution, Samvel Karapetyan may become the owner of new infrastructure?
At this point, Ararat Mirzoyan's statement can only lead to speculation, as there has yet to be any official clarification on this matter.
