I Apologize to the Armenian Public and Prime Minister Pashinyan - Daniel Ioannissian
Daniel Ioannissian, the coordinator of the 'Informed Citizens' Initiative, made a post on his Facebook page addressing the information published regarding property and income declarations by Alen Simonyan.
"The only flaw in the electoral code is currently protecting Alen Simonyan.
The submission of obviously false information regarding property and income by a candidate for parliamentary deputy is neither a crime nor an administrative violation, it turns out.
And I apologize to the Armenian public and Prime Minister Pashinyan (to whom we are accountable) for our electoral reform committee not noticing this significant gap and not correcting it.
If we had noticed it and made changes, then Alen Simonyan would now bear responsibility for that violation," he wrote.
