Attacked: Confident that Kocharian and the ARF are Involved
Today, Vardan Harutyunyan, a member of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), was attacked and has serious suspicions that the organizers of the beating are linked to Robert Kocharian and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF).
Harutyunyan shared a photo on his Facebook page, showing the traces of violence on his face.
"I was at my workplace, stepped out, walked a few steps near the back door, and without a word, several people attacked me. Just a few days earlier, a similar incident had occurred near our building where I was assaulted; I reported it to the police, but there has been no response so far,” Harutyunyan recounted in an interview with Aravot.
When asked by the media why he concluded that the incident was connected to the ARF, Harutyunyan replied, “This is just their modus operandi. I have always publicly criticized them and also Robert Kocharian. On the day of Kocharian's release, I participated in the rally against his release at Liberty Square.”
