Arayik Harutyunyan Gave the 'Order': Supporters of Samvel Babayan

"I say that Arayik Harutyunyan is the one who gave the 'order'." This was stated today, June 3, during a conversation with reporters by Armen Mejlumyan and Aram Hovakimyan, supporters of former Minister of Defense of Nagorno-Karabakh and Hero of Artsakh, Samvel Babayan. They were commenting on the blocking of Babayan's supporters' route and the gunfire directed at them.

The supporters claimed that they were in a vehicle with Armen Mejlumyan and Aram Hovakimyan, with no third party present.

According to them, the incident on the Sevan highway was undoubtedly political in nature, with no domestic issue involved. They emphasized that their concern is not whether these individuals will be arrested, but who is behind it. "Arayik Harutyunyan is a liar; he is lying. We do not recognize anyone, we have no domestic issues with anyone. We live for name and surname, not for money or currency. If you are a man of your word, let’s organize a press conference, let's talk face to face, and let society know what is happening in Artsakh," said Armen Mejlumyan, adding that they have been working in the Martakert and Shahumyan regions for three months and have had no issues in those areas.
