There Are Still Privileged Officials in Armenia
The newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' reports: "In Armenia, it turns out, there are still privileged officials who, despite the declared fight against corruption in the country, have not submitted declarations regarding their assets and income. Among them are Edgar Khurshudyan, the head of the Health and Labor Inspection Body, and his deputy Samuel Soghomonyan, who is affiliated with the Republican Party's Armen Ashotyan.
Only one diligent official from this body has submitted a declaration: Emin Avetisyan, who, according to Edgar Khurshudyan, made mistakes. 'We are not required to do so; that’s why we haven’t submitted them. Is it a violation of the law? Whether it is or not, let those movies be left for later,' he said in response to a question from 'Zhoghovurd' newspaper.
It turns out that the head of the inspection body, Edgar Khurshudyan, does not have the necessary 'code' to submit a declaration. 'Until that is resolved, we cannot submit it. Previous heads of inspection bodies had that code and submitted declarations, but our inspection body does not have it,' defended lawyer Esther Zadoyan."
