Even if Mkhitaryan had come to Baku, he would still have remained on the bench, says Arshavin
Former Russian football star, UEFA Cup winner, and European Championship medalist Andrey Arshavin shared his impressions of the "Chelsea"-"Arsenal" (4:1) match.
It is noteworthy that Arshavin commented on the Europa League final via the "Match" television channel from Baku.
"I thought it would be a tense, nervous match, where either team would win by just one goal," said Arshavin, "And even before the game, I was favoring Arsenal, but Chelsea’s confident victory was a surprise for me. As for Mkhitaryan's absence, Henrikh is not a key player for Arsenal. Therefore, even if he had come, he would most likely have remained on the bench."
According to Arshavin, his absence did not affect the outcome in any way.
