Awards for Employees of the Municipality and Administrative Districts
The Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, issued an order on May 8, authorizing monetary awards for employees of the Yerevan Municipality and its administrative districts.
According to Armtimes.com, the incentives were provided as recognition for diligently and properly fulfilling their work and service duties in the first quarter of 2019, funded by the award fund allocated in the city's 2019 budget.
More than 1,300 employees received bonuses as per the mentioned order. The minimum bonus amounted to 70,000 drams, while the maximum reached 425,000 drams.
The total award fund exceeded 257 million drams.
It is noteworthy that on the same day, May 8, the issue of increasing salaries through bonuses was included in the agenda of the Yerevan City Council session. However, Mayor Hayk Marutyan temporarily removed the proposal from the agenda, citing a lack of broad consensus on the issue within the ruling “My Step” faction and the public, which he deemed important.
