We Must Root the Culture of Buckling Up: Naira Zohrabyan

Zohrabyan noted that every year, 1,171,000 people die worldwide in road traffic accidents.

“According to statistical data, the primary causes of accidents remain unchanged: exceeding speed limits, driving under the influence, and not buckling up while driving. Despite numerous calls to action, almost every day, many drivers in the Republic of Armenia are fined for not buckling their seatbelts. Statistics show that the use of seatbelts reduces the number of fatalities and injuries in accidents by up to 80%. We must root the culture of buckling up,” she wrote.
