Driver's License Exam Questionnaire to Increase from 600 to 1000 Questions: Egor Karapetyan
The Head of the Traffic Police, Egor Karapetyan, believes that to avoid the increase in accidents, it is essential to simply adhere to the road traffic rules. He made this statement during a conversation with journalists, responding to a question about why there has been a rise in accidents, with four people having died within 24 hours.
“It was very sad news; we had two pedestrian accidents in Yerevan at different locations, and in Meghri, two brothers who were soldiers left their lane. One brother died on the spot, while the other died in the hospital. We must simply follow the traffic rules,” said the Traffic Police chief.
He noted that it is unfortunate that a school-aged child must be taught how to adhere to road traffic rules, and the same must be done for people in their 30s, 40s, and 50s as well. The Traffic Police chief stated that the procedures for obtaining a driver’s license will become more stringent. “The number of questions on the questionnaire will increase, 600 questions will approach 1000. We are now ruling out the cases of obtaining a driver's license through payment,” he emphasized.
