Mayor Marutyan Dismisses Head of Legal Department at City Hall
Personnel changes continue at the Yerevan City Hall. According to information obtained by Irakanum.am, Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan has dismissed Zaven Arakelyan, the head of the legal department of the city administration.
According to our sources, Arakelyan refused to comply with an unlawful directive from the mayor, which led to his dismissal.
To verify this information, we contacted Yerevan Mayor's spokesman Hakob Karapetyan. He stated that he does not have any information regarding this matter.
It is noteworthy that Zaven Arakelyan had held the position of head of the legal department since 2009. Prior to that, he worked as the head of the legal division at the Yerevan Kentron administrative district.
