Samvel Mayrapetyan Undergoes Surgery for the Sixth Time

Businessman Samvel Mayrapetyan has undergone his sixth surgery and is currently at a hospital in Dresden. This was stated by his lawyer Karen Batikyan in an interview with «Hraparak».

“A few days ago, I submitted a written statement to the Special Investigation Service regarding his condition and treatment process. He intends to return when his treatment is complete, but since the gallbladder was removed after the stone was taken out, the vessels are damaged and there are constant complications arising near it. The investigative body has not set a timeframe, considering that the person is undergoing treatment…” said the lawyer.

He noted that Mayrapetyan is still in the hospital: “Some days I talk to him and his voice is vigorous, other days it’s not, like that of a sick person.” The media reports that the lawyer mentioned that Mayrapetyan's detention measure was replaced with a personal guarantee, although he could not recall who submitted the personal guarantee on his behalf.
