Road Closures in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of April 21 at 08:30, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers and difficult to navigate for other vehicles (from the Gegharkunik region).

The Sotk-Karvachar and Berd-Chambarak roads are also difficult to navigate.

In the Tavush region and on the Spitak winding roads, there is fog.

About Lars

According to the information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepanstminda-Lars road is closed for all types of vehicles. On the Russian side, there are around 100 trucks and 30 passenger vehicles accumulated.

Construction Work in Progress

Since June 30, 2018, construction works have been taking place on the 139th km of the Yerevan-Meghri road (near the city of Vayk in the Vayots Dzor region), resulting in a approximately 200 m section being closed to trucks only.
