Armenian Foreign Ministry Clarifies Presence of Armenian Citizens Among Victims and Injured in Sri Lanka Explosion
The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed condolences on its Twitter page to the families of the victims of the explosions that occurred in Sri Lanka.
“We are filled with sorrow regarding the horrific news coming from Sri Lanka. Hundreds of innocent souls have been brutally killed on this sacred day. We condemn these despicable attacks and express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, wishing a swift recovery to the injured,” the post stated.
The Ministry is also seeking to clarify information regarding the presence of Armenian citizens and individuals of Armenian ethnicity among the victims and injured as a result of the explosions in Sri Lanka.
Currently, reports indicate 187 fatalities due to the explosions, with hundreds more injured. Many people have gathered near hospitals to donate blood for the victims.
