Mayor Hayk Marutyan Faces Lawsuits: Report
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: Since taking office as the Mayor of Yerevan, the painful process of dismantling illegal constructions in the capital has begun, leading Mayor Hayk Marutyan into a series of troubles. Lawsuits have been filed against him, with several more on the way.
The first "sparrow" causing a significant outcry involves a dismantled building in the Nor Nork community, for which the owner has filed a lawsuit against the mayor in an administrative court. Citizen Davit Aharonian is demanding the annulment of the mayor's decision and the imposition of administrative penalties on those responsible for the dismantling. A preliminary court hearing is scheduled for February 27.
