Public Oversight Service on Allegations of Misconduct at Yerevan State University
The Public Oversight Service of Armenia has issued a statement on its Facebook page regarding potential misconduct at Yerevan State University (YSU).
It states, in particular:
“In order to verify the information released by the Police yesterday concerning possible violations at YSU, we would like to inform that a criminal case has been initiated based on the materials from the investigations conducted by the Police’s main department for combating organized crime and the Public Oversight Service at YSU. The information provided is only a necessary part subject to publication during the investigation phase. It does not encompass the full volume of the study conducted by the Public Oversight Service at YSU, that is, at this stage of material preparation. We remind that the criminal case has been forwarded to the Investigative Committee. The circumstances of the incidents will be clarified during the preliminary investigation.”
