Free Cancer Treatment Not Realistic, Says Publication

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that the Ministry of Health convened a group of prominent oncologists yesterday to discuss issues related to free cancer treatment. Participants included Armen Tananyan, Nikolay Dallakyan, Artur Sahakyan, Robert Kurginyan, and Armen Avagyan, along with Deputy Minister Arsene Davtyan and Davit Melik-Nubaryan from the ministry.

The doctors have heavily criticized the announced program, stating that it is not realistic and that the system will face collapse by September as the planned pricing list will not allow the state order to be fulfilled.

They pointed out that enormous queues will emerge, and there will be an exodus of surgeons to clinics where paid surgeries are performed. Notably, those clinics that sign the contract and enter the list of state order oncological surgery providers will lose the opportunity to conduct paid surgeries.

The doctors have demanded clarification of the program's conditions and a final decision on the pricing list. Preliminary information reveals that the "Erebuni" and "Izmirlian" medical centers have declined to participate in the program.
