Weapon Manufacturing Company to Be Exempt from Customs Duty on Machinery
The customs duty exemption on the machinery and components imported by the "Arsenal LTD" company will be discussed at the upcoming government meeting. The justification for this request cites the company's investment in a priority sector.
"The products imported by the company will be used in the production of weapons and ammunition," states the justification.
The list of imported products includes 11 types of items, with a total cost of approximately 414 million drams. It is noted that these items are not imported from EAEU countries as there are no similar equipment that meets the company’s standards available in the Union.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that this company received its first license for arms production in November 2017 for a period of three years. The license was granted for the production of impact munitions, military supplies, and cartridges.
