Brawl After Car Accident: Emergency Incident in Gegharkunik

On February 15, a car accident followed by a brawl occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Around 15:50, on the 46 km stretch of the Sevan-Martuni-Getap road, in an area known as ‘Kulala-gomer’, vehicles driven by residents of Noratus village collided: 51-year-old Garnik Avetisyan in an Opel Astra (license plate 35 AO 220) and 33-year-old Gevorg Hovhannisyan in a VAZ-2115 (license plate 35 ZP 885).

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, a dispute took place at the scene, which was reported to the Gavar police station by 52-year-old Heriknaz Hovhannisyan, a resident of Vaghashen village. She reported that she had been assaulted by a passenger of the Opel, 29-year-old Hayk Avetisyan from Noratus village. Investigative materials are being prepared at the Gavar police station regarding the incident.
