Tragic Car Accident Involving Ambulance: 1 Dead, 3 Injured
Today, on February 8, a major and tragic car accident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 00:10, on the 17-km section of the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway, a collision took place between a GAZ 24 vehicle driven by 31-year-old Sargis Sahakyan from the village of Vostan in the Ararat region, and an ambulance vehicle with license plate 506 AO 61, driven by 54-year-old Arthur Alaverdyan from the city of Sisian.
According to Shamshyan.com, the accident resulted in the death of driver S. Sahakyan at the scene. His passenger, 31-year-old Zhora Grigoryan, resident of Artashat, and the ambulance driver A. Alaverdyan along with female passenger, 39-year-old Marine Poghosyan from Sisian, were transported to the Artashat medical center with bodily injuries.
By the investigator's order, the vehicles were towed to the specially protected area of the Artashat police department.
