Deputy Director and Chief Accountant of Vanadzor Medical Center Dismissed
According to reports from the Hraparak newspaper, the deputy director and chief accountant of the Vanadzor Medical Center were dismissed from their positions yesterday. We had previously written about the anticipated dismissal of the deputy director weeks ago.
On January 15, the director of the Vanadzor Medical Center, Vardan Abovyan, submitted his resignation letter voluntarily. The governor approved Abovyan's resignation and appointed Vahagn Mkrtchyan, head of the hospital's pathology and anatomy department, as the new director. Days after the appointment, Mkrtchyan announced that the hospital had debts totaling around 120 million drams and demanded an audit.
Yesterday, in accordance with their own resignation requests, the deputy director Pargev Torosyan and chief accountant Ararat Vermishyan were dismissed from the medical center. Arthur Azroyan and Gayane Gevorgyan have been appointed to these positions, respectively.
