Ministry of Education Calls to Avoid Spreading Misinformation

This evening, information has circulated on the internet stating that the newly appointed Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Grisha Tamrazian, was allegedly arrested on June 11, 2008, in connection with a "drug-related case."

This information is not true. He was taken in for questioning in relation to the case; however, he was released hours later due to lack of evidence for suspicion.

The law enforcement agencies will confirm this regarding the case in question. We urge everyone not to spread misinformation and to verify facts before publishing.
