Explosion and Fire in Central Moscow: Casualties and Injuries Reported
A fire has broken out in one of the residential buildings in the center of Moscow, Russia. This has been reported by РИА Новости.
A total of 42 residents have been evacuated, including 8 children.
According to rescue services, 4 people have died and 3 others have been injured.
Earlier reports indicated that the fire started on the 4th and 5th floors of the building, leading to collapses. The fire broke out during the night and was extinguished only at 5 AM local time.
The emergency services reported hearing an explosion at the location, possibly caused by residual gas in the system or from gas cylinders.
A criminal case has been initiated.
