Five Youths Arrested for Vandalizing Car in Yerevan
Five participants in a dispute at the intersection of Freedom Avenue and Nairi Zaryan Street were arrested today, January 21, as reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia.
On January 17, a conflict occurred at the intersection of Freedom Avenue and Nairi Zaryan Street in Yerevan.
A group of young people, grossly violating public order and displaying disrespect towards society, struck a Mercedes vehicle belonging to D.A. with wooden and metal batons, causing damage.
Upon the instruction of the Prosecutor of Yerevan, a criminal case was initiated at the Arabkir Division of the Police under Part 4 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
The criminal investigators of the Arabkir Division, acting on the received operational information, detained the participants of the dispute.
On January 21, at the direction of Yerevan Prosecutor Gevorg Baghdasaryan, five individuals who committed the apparent crime were arrested,” the statement said.
Preliminary data indicates that the cause of the incident was a failure to yield to each other and honking at the intersection.
