Valery Osipyan Meets with Taxi Service Leaders
On January 18, Police Chief Valery Osipyan met with the heads of taxi services, individual taxi drivers, representatives from the transportation union, non-governmental organizations, and car importing companies.
They presented their concerns to the police chief, which primarily related to taxi parking spaces, car imports and customs clearance, online taxi companies, and taxi insurance. There were also suggestions regarding solutions to Yerevan's transportation issues, the elimination of traffic jams, and matters related to domestic car manufacturing.
In response to the questions raised that fall under police jurisdiction, the police chief provided answers and instructed the heads of relevant services to find solutions in a short timeframe. For issues outside the police's jurisdiction, Valery Osipyan directed them to reach out to the appropriate authorities.
Additionally, some inquiries made will be personally presented by the police chief to the relevant bodies.
