Updates on Manvel Grigoryan's Case

The Court of Appeal of the Republic of Armenia continued today the hearing of the case of former president of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union, Manvel Grigoryan. His lawyer Arsen Mkrtchyan informed reporters that the court rejected the recusal motion presented against Judge Arsen Nikoghosyan but did not provide any comments.

It is recalled that Manvel Grigoryan has been charged under part 2 of Article 235 of the Criminal Code for illegally acquiring military equipment and storing it in preliminary agreement with other individuals, as well as under part 3, point 1 of Article 179 of the Criminal Code for stealing someone else's property entrusted to him in particularly large amounts in collusion with a group of persons.
