Vardenyats Pass Closed for Certain Vehicles
The Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of the Republic of Armenia informs that as of January 11, 15:00, there are instances of black ice on the roads of the Aparan and Spitak regions, in the Stepanavan turns, and on the Vardenyats Pass.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed for heavy and trailer vehicles. Other interstate and republican roads are open. Road construction workers are conducting clearing and salting operations on the roads.
Citizens can receive comprehensive and timely information regarding the condition of interstate and republican roads via the ministry’s official website (www.mtcit.am, as well as www.ard.am) and also through the 24-hour hotline at (010) 56-25-33 available at the ministry.
