Russia has demanded that Sweden take measures regarding drone attacks on its embassy, yet Stockholm has yet to take any action, stated Artem Studennikov, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's First European Department, in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to the diplomat, after each incident involving drones, the Russian side hands over appropriate notes to the Swedish Foreign Ministry, "requesting necessary steps to identify those who carry out these illegal actions and their orders, and to prevent similar attacks in the future."

"However, provocations with drones continue, and we firmly demand from the Swedish authorities to implement comprehensive measures to prevent such attacks in the future. So far, Sweden’s competent authorities have either shown their inability or a lack of desire to do so," he emphasized.

The Russian embassy in Sweden was subjected to another drone attack on July 2. One drone dropped paint, while another, which was equipped with an improvised explosive device imitation, fell within the vicinity of the diplomatic mission. The commercial representation of Russia has also been regularly targeted by attacks.

The diplomatic mission informed RIA Novosti that among the targets of the drone attacks was an area located next to a residential building and a school adjacent to the embassy. Dangerous glass containers, which could cause injuries, were also used during the attacks.

Earlier, the embassy had reported to the agency that Russian foreign institutions had been attacked more than 25 times with the use of drones over the past two years.
