Pyunik Defeats Ararat-Armenia

In the central match of the 5th round of the 2026/27 Armenian Premier League, Pyunik triumphed over the defending champions Ararat-Armenia with a score of 2-1. The match took place at the HFF Technical Center/Football Academy.

Pyunik laid the groundwork for victory in the first half, scoring two goals. Daniil Kulikov opened the scoring in the 16th minute, and Gevorg Tarakhchyan doubled Pyunik's lead in the 33rd minute.

In the second half, Ararat-Armenia managed to reduce the deficit. Sandro Lima scored in the 68th minute, but the champions were unable to equalize for the remainder of the match.
