Armenia's Economic Growth Projections for 2024
The Armenian government has published revised economic growth forecasts for the upcoming year, highlighting key sectors poised for development.

The Armenian government recently announced its economic growth projections for 2024, with a focus on sectors such as technology, agriculture, and tourism. According to the Ministry of Finance, the economy is expected to grow by 5.4%, driven by significant investments and improvements in infrastructure.

In a statement, Finance Minister Vahe Hakobyan noted that technological advancements and a rise in international tourism will play crucial roles in achieving these growth targets. "Our focus on innovation and sustainable practices will not only help our economy recover post-pandemic but will also position Armenia as a competitive player in the regional market," Hakobyan stated.

The report also emphasizes the importance of strategic partnerships with foreign investors, which are essential in bolstering local industries. The government’s initiative to create a more favorable business environment is expected to attract further investments, particularly in the green energy and IT sectors.

Moreover, the Ministry plans to implement several key reforms aimed at simplifying the business establishment process and enhancing regulatory frameworks. Officials believe these changes will foster entrepreneurship and stimulate job creation across the country.

As part of its economic development strategy, Armenia also aims to strengthen its trade relations with neighboring countries and expand its export markets, which officials believe will further support economic resilience amid global uncertainties.
